High Speed Metering System for the Billblade and LAS Coaters, 1990 TAPPI Conference Proceedings

BTG’s new high speed metering system (HSM) is a coating method devised to be applied to the backing roll of a Billblade or LAS coater. It lays down a backside coating layer to be transferred to a sheet of paper. Use of this principle on a size press is also possible. In all of these new products, distinct advantages are achieved in application and in the final quality.
