Office Paper Recycling: Making it Work, 1992 TAPPI Conference Proceedings
The nation has decided, in the form of public opinion, that recycling is the best answer to solid waste problems. Paper is a primary focus, due to its visibility, people’s love of trees, and it being the primary constituent of solid waste. Office paper has become increasingly the focus of recycling advocates. The National Office Paper Recycling Project has brought together many leading players in an effort to develop a national strategy to make office paper recycling work. The presentation will provide a summary of the voluntary strategy, data summaries of where the nation stands on collection and reuse, projections of this data into the future, and education materials.
