For many years, halogens have been used in fire protection systems in the Pulp and Paper industry as well as other industries throughout the world. Besides having good fire extinguishing qualities, they are colorless, odorless, and leaves no residue. These characteristics make halogens very attractive far use in the protection of electronic equipment in computer control rooms.
