New Generation Cut-Size Machine Improves Operations, 2001 Engineering / Finishing & Converting Conference Proceedings

C. D. Colburn, K. Richard--Mohawk Paper Mills recently installed a new generation direct drive cut-size machine in their Cohoes, New York paper manufacturing facility. The need for ease of operations, faster size-change time and higher quality paper products was the driving force behind the decision to install this equipment. They also needed flexibility as they entered new small office and home office markets that included Digital sizes. Additionally, the need to run sensitive coated paper grades without belt of gripper marking was essential. This new direct drive sheeter is the leading edge in cross cutter technology and the wave of the future. Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher is required to view TAPPI Technical Articles.
