My TAPPI Story: McKenna Goulette
J. Kujanpaa, J. Keskinen, T. Tamminen, M. Hupa--The pilot analyzer for continuously measuring dust concentration and composition (K and Cl content) in the flue gas of a recovery boiler has been operated since August 1999. In this paper, the operation principles of the Recovery Boiler Dust Analyzer are described. Among experiences of long-term continuous use of the analyzer, needs for service and maintenance are listed and operational costs are calculated. As an example, some relationships between measured data and operating parameters are presented. Measured data was also statistically analyzed with multiple regression analysis method. Some comparisons of calculated and measured total dust concentrations are presented.
