New Corrosion-Resistant Alloy for Composite Floor Tubes in Black Liquor Recovery Boilers, 2001 Engineering / Finishing & Converting Conference Proceedings
N. Otsuka, Y. Yamadera--A new corrosion-resistant alloy of 22%Cr-52%Ni-9%Mo-0.8%Nb was developed for outside material of composite
tube. This alloy was designed to improve hot ductility and thermal stability of alloy 625 so that composite tube in
combination with inner carbon steel/low-alloyed steels can be manufactured by conventional co-extrusion process.
Laboratory corrosion tests demonstrated that the corrosion resistance of this alloy in simulating floor-tube environments
is equivalent to alloy 625. Test results of alloy tubes produced by conventional tube manufacturing process are
presented.
