ACT/ACF Water Allocation Negotiations, 2000 Environmental Conference Proceedings

Kerr -- The states of Alabama, Florida and Georgia are engaged in negotiations to develop an allocation formula for the equitable apportionment of the waters of the Apalachicola, Chattahoochee and Flint Rivers Basin (ACF). The states of Alabama and Georgia are in similar negotiations for the Alabama, Coosa and Tallapoosa Rivers Basin (ACT). Following is a synopsis of the events leading to an agreement to develop compacts and allocation formulas for each of these basins, as well as information about the various documents and issues.
