Feasibility Study of Sequencing Batch Reactor Technology Treating High Strength Foul Condensate for Methanol Reduction, 2000 Environmental Conference Proceedings

- T. K. Reid, A. Simon -- Boise Cascade Corporation in DeRidder, LA took a proactive stance to investigate technologies to meet NESHAP guidelines. The two technologies tested included the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) process and a continuous flow anaerobic system. Concurrent pilot studies were initiated with these systems receiving foul condensate from a common source. While the anaerobic testing was aborted, the aerobic SBR study continued for approximately 3 months to its desired completion.
