- B. Eller, M. McNally, K. Parvez -- In 1997, the Mead Containerboard mill in Stevenson, Alabama, began a facility expansion which included the installation of a new virgin neutral sulfite semichemical (NSSC) fiberline with chemical recovery. The new fiberline consists of a continuous digester and associated brown stock washing systems. The pulp mill expansion was completed in late 1997, with startup commencing in early 1998.
