Perspectives on Environmental Compliance Auditing, 2000 Environmental Conference Proceedings

- E. Wilson, L. Heim, A. Smith -- Georgia-Pacific Corporation's audit program has evolved over the past eight years as a result of the company's commitment to comprehensive environmental management. The design of our audit program is determined mainly by our organizational structure. Georgia-Pacific is a large corporation made up of several diverse business units, including forestry, pulp and paper, packaging, tissue and every imaginable type of wood product. However, it is much broader than a forest products company. Georgia-Pacific includes sizable chemical and gypsum wallboard businesses, as well as wholesale distribution businesses serving both our building products and paper operations.
