Forest Products Industry Wetlands Policy and Mitigation Opportunities, 1992 Environmental Conference Proceedings
The Forest Industry Wetlands Task Force, representing the American Paper Institute (API), National Forest Products Association (NFPA), American Forest Council (AFC) and American Forest Resource Alliance (AFRA), and with support from the National Council of the Paper Industry for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI), has developed regulatory, legislative, communications, research, state and legal strategies for addressing wetlands issues. The Task Force’s primary consideration is the impact of wetlands policy on land management practices and timber supply. The ongoing debate over the wetlands definition and overall wetlands policy will undoubtedly affect pulp and paper manufacturing facilities with respect to mill location and expansions.
