Fundamentals and Principles of Dispersion Modeling, 1992 Environmental Conference Proceedings
The effects of wind and atmospheric turbulence upon dispersion of material released into the atmosphere, including the relationships of turbulence to vertical temperature structure and to commonly measured meteorological parameters, are discussed.
An air quality simulation model is defined, and the three inputs -- emission data, meteorological data and information on receptor locations (those points where air quality concentrations are desired) -- are detailed. The general features of models used to satisfy regulatory requirements are shown, and the most important special features of specific models are given.
