M. E. Franklin

Inland Container Corp.

Panelists will discuss their experiences with EPA’s Region IV regarding management of causticizing wastes. At the urging of the Georgia Department of Environmental Protection (EPD), EPA has been undertaking a number of inspections of pulp and paper mills trying to understand the hazardous wastes generated at the mills and how they are being managed. Each of the company representatives will discuss their experiences when dealing with the Region and provide their perspectives on the successes and problems associated with those experiences.
