Oxygen Transfer Performance of Fine Pure Aeration in ASBs- A Full Scale Review, 1996 Environmental Conference Proceedings

This paper provides a state-of-the art review of recent developments- in aeration technology, including testing methods. Two example systems, typical of those frequently used in ASBs, are evaluated. The results show that direct application of fine pore diffuser technology from municipal experience to ASBs will probably result in under designed systems. The results suggest that fine pore aeration systems, while applicable and perhaps cost competitive in ASBs with other systems, should be used in a cautious and conservative fashion.
