Out With the Old, In With the New: A Biocide for the Future, 1996 Environmental Conference Proceedings

Prompted by environmental and operational concerns, a midwestern coated alkaline fine paper mill wanted to improve their biocide programs. This mill wanted to eliminate SARA 313 reporting, lower biocide-related VOCs, and reduce chlorine dioxide use on the machine. Additionally, they hoped to achieve these objectives without biocide odor and without increasing their biocide casts.
