Fostering the Beneficial Use of Industrial By-Products, 2003 Environmental Conference Proceedings

NCASI, in partnership with USEPA Region 5, has a program underway to advance the beneficial use of industrial by-products. To date the centerpiece has been the Midwest Industrial By-Products Beneficial Use Summit, which brought together representatives from state regulatory agencies and various industries for information exchange and facilitated discussion. Several action items were identified to address challenges and opportunities facing beneficial use. This paper reviews the preparation for and conduct of the summit and describes the follow-up activities that are under development.
