My TAPPI Story: Rory Wolf
TAPPISAFE
Louis Piffer, Stephen Pizzimenti, Egan Davis-Standard--Requirements for extrusion coating lines have changed dramatically through the years. These changes include higher speed, new resins, new films, new primers, and an increased environmental and workplace awareness. Due to today’s competitive environment, adapting to these changes by purchasing new equipment is not always economically feasible. This paper investigates the options open to extrusion coating converters, enabling them to respond to the challenges of today by upgrading existing older equipment. The paper introduces some of the changes that have occurred relatively recently in the industry in addition to the solutions that have become classical.
