Flexomer Resins - Another Class of Polyolefins for Film Extrusion, 1990 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings

FLEXOMERâ„¢ resins represent a new family of polyolefins which exhibit a combination of properties heretofore unavailable. The properties of these resins are given and differentiated from the more established counterparts such as LLDPE. HP-LDPE, and EVA copolymers. It is shown that a better balance of overall toughness, tensile strength and low temperature properties can be obtained, especially when copolvmers with HA0 are employed. Selected film fabrication effects are reviewed.

Finally, certain end-uses are suggested based on the property balance obtained with these resins.
