Coating Crystallinity as a Function of Extrusion and Quenching Conditions, 1990 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
A polymer’s barrier properties are usually related directly to its crystallinity. In an extrusion lamination process, a polymer’s final crystallinity is determined by the extrusion and quenching conditions of that process. Therefore, to maximize the barrier properties of a polymer, and to assure their consistency, these process conditions must be considered.
