Finding and qualifying a supplier for packaging can be a fairly easy endeavor if: requirements are feasible and are expressed clearly, there is shared development, open communication exists, and efforts are put forth towards developing a true partnership. Today, partnerships between customer and supplier are a necessity in order to produce a quality product. Only then can the product be optimized for end use as well as for supplier production. A discussion is given to demonstrate the qualification of a supplier when developing a new product as well as a partnership.
