Recycling of Coated Corrugated Paperboard, 1991 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings

Coated corrugated wastepaper, using seven different water-based coatings, curtain coating, and a poly laminate, are evaluated for repulpability. A new test method for repulpability is discussed and used to demonstrate that corrugated paperboard coated with these aqueous coatings repulped as well as uncoated corrugated paperboard.
