Hot Melt Adhesive for Medical Device Packaging, 1991 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings

Disposable Medical Devices are generally packaged in peel open containers. A peelable lid is usually heatsealed to a formed blister which contains the device. There are three different adhesive systems used in this application, all of which have their own advantages and disadvantages. Hotmelt adhesives are one of these three systems and have several unique advantages for this use.
