How to Evaluate Lamination Inks, 1991 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
Printing ink plays a vital role in providing many of the functional properties required for laminated constructions. Many ink suppliers use statistical process tools for formulation, manufacturing and quality control processes. This paper presents a problem solving model, utilized when a product at any stage produces results out of control.
Traditional methods have attempted to solve problems without gathering and/or accurately analyzing data. These methods resulted in curing symptoms, rather than realizing permanent solutions.
A systematic analysis of systems whose average is not optimum, or variation too large, in terms of man, machine, methods, environment and all related raw materials, is required for survival in today’s business environment. Ink is one of the factors involved in contributing properties. This article reviews a host of other criteria which would benefit your problem solving model.
