My TAPPI Story: McKenna Goulette
This paper describes a technique that is used to quantify the residence time distribution in a spiral mandrel distribution system. The technique uses the information obtained from the Control Volume solution of the flow field to determine the residence time distribution of the polymer in the system. The effect of die design on the residence time distribution will be presented through examples.
