Extrusion Coating 1960-1990: An Upgrade Path, 1994 Polymers, Laminations & Coating Conference Proceedings
L. Piffer
Requirements for extrusion coating lines have changed dramatically since 1960. These changes include higher speed, new resins, new films, new primers, and an increased environmental and workplace awareness. Due to today’s competitive environment, adapting to these changes by purchasing new equipment is not always economically feasible. This paper will investigate options open to extrusion coating converters, enabling them to respond to the challenges of today by upgrading existing older equipment.
