Nylon-Containing Ionomer Improves the Performance of Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) Copolymers in Multilayer Structures, 1997 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
Surlynâ AM7927 is a nylon-containing, partially neutralized, ethylene methacrylic acid copolymer (N-lonomer) designed for blending with ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymers. The N-Ionomer (10-25 wt % ) can be tumble-blended with EVOH and extruded using conventional equipment to provide soft, clear, flexible film or sheet with improved pinhole flex resistance, excellent thermoformability, and superior oxygen barrier at high humidity, compared to films made with EVOH alone.
