True Commitment to Training, 1998 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
This is an interesting and many times not fully addressed (embraced) topic. The subject of “company wide training” means many things to many people. To the FTA/FFTA the definition is: A company wide training curriculum that consists of an organized set of interrelated interactive, learning experiences designed to achieve a specific set of company objectives. The curriculum should include training experiences specific to all company positions as well as upstream and down stream understanding of the total process. It is important to include mostly practical and some theoretical information in a format that has emphasis on working as a team. Once the curriculum is developed the format to implement training is created. Specific training schedules, session duration, subjects and testing should be outlined for each type of position. The curriculum must include the specifics on the results to be tracked monitored and evaluated for each trainee.
