My TAPPI Story: McKenna Goulette
Most converting and extrusion applications today include as part of the process some form of adhesion promoter. The introduction of water based inks and adhesives creates a problem that often can be solved using conventional methods such as corona or gas flame. In some cases conventional methods are not sufficient and in these instances the Ultra Dyne system (will be referred to as Process x) offers a unique solution. This new development addresses the problem of increasing the adhesion to ultra high levels and also reduces the decay rates without the use of hazardous and expensive gases or special equipment. In fact the Process X system uses processes that are already in widespread use in the industry.
