Sleeve Technology for the 21st Century, 1998 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference Proceedings
As the title of this paper suggests, I will be presenting an overview on how the introduction and subsequent application of printing sleeves have influenced and impacted the different branches of the printing industry. This will also include a presentation on how it is anticipated that the use of sleeves will be expanded and integrated with the other technological advances that we expect will be incorporated into print production in the 21st. Century. At the present time there are many different sleeves available for the Flexographic, Rotogravure and Lithographic printing industries. They have been introduced to each one of these processes to help till a need for improved efficiencies in production and to lower costs.
