My TAPPI Story: McKenna Goulette
The tubular water quenched (TWQ) process is commonly used to convert UNIPOL* polypropylene into thin tubular films in Asian and Mideast markets. The key requirements for TWQ films are that the films must have (1) low haze and (2) good openability. This study reports the effects of antiblock agents and slip agents in homopolymer poly-propylene on these key requirements.
