Peter A. Sipos, Gil A. Arnould--New Advanced SCLAIRTECH™ technology produces a wide variety of resins for flexible packaging applications. This paper describes new enhanced resin properties in heavy duty sack and industrial packaging coextrusion and monolayer blown film applications. Novel advanced Z/N catalyst and modified process demonstrates an immense capability to tailor polymer properties for customer needs. Significant improvements in the areas of processability and toughness are demonstrated. In addition, the potential for down gauging and reduction of LDPE content are examined.
