Arno Wolf--Cyclic olefin copolymers form (COC) clear films that can lower cost and improve flexible packaging performance for foods, drugs cosmetics and other products. When used as a discrete layer in a multilayer film they offer high moisture barrier, clarity and stiffness. Cyclic olefin copolymer has roughly double the moisture barrier of HDPE and five times that of LDPE. Cyclic olefin copolymer based multilayer film thermoform at relatively low temperatures and have rapid cycle times.
