Enhanced Water Removal Pressing, 2003 Spring Technical Conference Proceedings

This work presents the results of research into the influence of pressure uniformity and rewetting on water removal in a press section, as well as studies that have been carried out using new materials, design structures, and non-woven components to improve the dewatering potential of press fabrics. This research has lead to improved design of press felts that can achieve enhanced water removal through improved pressure uniformity and the use of anti-rewetting technology.
